It is cut into Ambrosia Maple and stain finished (no paints used at all). It is wall art that comes ready to hang. This is a relief cut into the wood which is also called 2.5d cutting. In other words you can run your fingers across the surface of the wood and the artwork stands out allowing you to touch it.

This particular piece allows the wood grain to stand out. The art in the wood doesn’t break up the beauty of the wood with too many cuts across its surface. In essence the wood itself is part of the wood art rather than focusing too much on using the cutting to produce the art.

Ambrosia Maple can be a unique wood and its grains can be very different from piece to piece. The item you see in the pictures is the item you will receive. Once it is gone I may not have the same wood type to replace it. This particular piece is thick and would hang well in most living rooms or an office. I would advise it to be displayed indoors although for this wall art being outdoors in a covered space is possible just understand your mileage may vary as you introduce the outdoor elements.
